There's no contest. My favorite Jae-Ha in K-Dramaland is Ji Chang-wook in K2, one of my favorite shows. As you noted, his tends to be spelled differently.
OMG -- I love this!! There is a Taekwondo master with my exact name (as exact as Sung J. Woo - no idea what the J stands for - https://www.youtube.com/user/taekwonwoo), and sometimes I think wow, there's a guy who can beat me up probably with his pinky somewhere out there...!
🥋🤣 There is a 19-year-old rapper (maybe he's 20 now?) and I get so many people on Instagram asking if I'm him; or if my father is an actor. The actor is the rapper's dad.
(Tone: Sincere) I won’t repeat myself from my share on your Instagram re: my name; instead I wanted to share that I went through my files & here are some* of my findings for characters with the name Jae-Ha:
Dramas:
School 1 (1999) Lee Chang-Hoon plays Lee Jae-Ha
Pretty Woman (2003) Jeong Dong-Hwan plays Bang Jae-Ha
Spring Waltz (2006) Seo Do-Young plays Yun Jae-Ha / Lee Soo-Ho (This is a drama I deem a must watch!)
Who Are You? (2008) Jin Yi-Han plays Shin Jae-Ha
Feast of the Gods (2012) Joo Sang-Wook plays Choi Jae-Ha
The King 2 Hearts (2012) Lee Seung-Gi plays Lee Jae-Ha
My Fair Lady (2016) Park Min-Su plays Hwang Jae-Ha
Live Up To Your Name (2017) Yoo Min-Kyu plays Yoo Jae-Ha / Yoo Jin-O
Movie:
Method (2017) Park Sung-Woong plays Jae-Ha
There’s more; however, I think this is enough for now’ 😅😇💜🖤✌🏼
(Tone: Happy) I just stumbled upon the actor Han Jae-Ha who plays roles in Black Out (2024), Maestra: Strings of Truth (2023), Hera: The Goddess of Revenge (2020), 18 Again (2020), Graceful Friends (2020), and VIP (2019). Further, we share the same birthday & year! 🥳💜🖤✌🏼
(Tone: Sincere/Reflective) Thank you for saying that. I was excited & wanted to share with someone…even if it is arguably not a big deal to others- it’s always nice when someone can share in another’s excitement/joy! 🙏🏼💜🖤✌🏼
At least you get some cool characters with your name! Anytime there's a character named Barbara she's either evil, a serial killer, a homely spinster, or all of the above! 😂 (And no, Barbie doesn't count because that's a name unto itself. LOL)
A thing about names…I was given an uncommon one at birth, struggled with it growing up, but shortened it to the male version. Easier to say but a lifetime of funny stories because of it. Rather than have names define us, we should define our names.
I love this attitude! But at at the same time I acknowledge that it's easier as an adult than as a child. Dong is common syllable of a Korean boy's first time, but it is ridiculed by U.S. classmates. And with my own name, I heard so many "ha ha" jokes that it grew old fast.
Yup, it sure is. Ji-min, Soo-bin, Ha-neul, Soo-hyun...
In fact, the actor Kim Soo-hyun said that he used a nickname when he was young because he felt his name was too feminine sounding. FWIW, I have male and female relatives with that name as well.
First congratulations on your participation in Behind the Scenes of K-pop symposium! I hope you give us a write up of how that goes. Have fun!
Thank you so much! I will try to do something like that!

The first time I saw the series, I claimed his character (and name) as my own. 😝

Woohoo, these are great! I love that Lee Seung-Gi’s character was King Jae-Ha. lol

LOL! Now I'm trying to think of cool Barbara names in films or shows that I've seen!
ETA:
Barbara in Beetlejuice (played by Geena Davis)
Barbara Gordon in Batman (played by lots of pretty actresses)
Love K-2! Definitely my fave. Funnily, I'm doing a rewatch of Pinocchio right now! 😁
I need to get my review of Pinocchio up! Thanks for reminding me! LOL

Ah so your name is unisex. How many other Korean names are unisex?
Yup, it sure is. Ji-min, Soo-bin, Ha-neul, Soo-hyun...

My favorites (in order) has to be: Be melodramatic, Something in the rain, 2521, (I’m literally blanking in the rest sigh )
Wait, there are characters named "Jae-Ha" in those K-dramas?!! How did I miss those?!!
Okay WAIT maybe not major ones but I do remember side characters with that name in these (also these just happen to be my favorite overall)
But still, they count! I'll have to look out for them the next time I rewatch those K-dramas!
