It’s been a couple years since I watched Midnight Runners. Probably when I was going down a Park Seo-Jun rabbit hole. It was nice to be reminded about this movie through your review.
At first, I was afraid Midnight Runners was going to be Korean Animal House (not my type of humor) but I stuck with it because I like both PSJ and Kang Ha-Neul.
I was surprised (and glad) to see it deal with such an important topic. I agree it was a perfect balance of comedy and action. I think the mix of heaviness with the comedic moments probably gets many viewers to stick with it when they otherwise might not because it was spotlighting such a heavy topic.
I didn’t know the same director wrote Bloodhounds. Kim Ju-Hwan will always get my attention with an underdog storyline. And bromances (which he must be fond of) are many times more satisfying to watch than romances IMHO. :)
I’m always glad to see a Jae-Ha Kim review or article email in my inbox! 감사합니다

Wow, Kat! Thank you so much. I will work hard to make sure you still look forward to receiving the emails in your inbox!
This looks like such a fun watch! (Haven't seen it yet, though.) Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul are both really good actors.
They play so well off of each other. I keep hoping for a sequel!
